Robbie Bell showing her true colors again.

It looks like Robbie Bell is at it again. She managed to get her indictment expunged from her record after Jim Hood threw the case. Now she is trying to get her name removed from the lawsuit Linda Francombe, mother of Heather Spencer, filed against her, George Bell, III, and Narconon in 2008. Copy of motion, response, and notice of hearing.

Bell settled with Francombe last year and the suit against her was dismissed on July 24, 2009. She filed a Motion for Protective Order on December 22, 2009. No hellhole is too low for Robbie Bell as she asks the court to "quash" a subponea that was served upon her because it didn't include her fee. That is correct: her fee. MSRCP (c)(1) is cited: "the party causing the subpoena to issue shall tender to a non-party witness at the time of serve the fee for one day's attendance plus mileage allowed by law." The motion then states "The subpoena served on Robbie Bell did not include the fee for one day's attendance...".

Considering Robbie Bell filed her answer to Elizabeth Hall's lawsuit against her on the second anniversary of when Heather was murdered, one shouldn't be too surprised at her behavior in this matter. Mr. Burwell then gives a sob story about how Robbie had made plans to travel out of town but fails to mention any discussion with opposing counsel about rescheduling Bell's deposition. Mr. Burwell even goes so far as to claim media coverage will hurt her chances of a fair trial in the lawsuit filed by Hall. Burwell thus claims Bell's right to a fair trial will be jeopardized and her deposition should be sealed AND, ready for this, "The use of any deposition testimony given by Robbie Bell should be limited to this case unless otherwise ordered by the court." Burwell also asks the court to limit the deposition to what Ms. Bell witnessed. Hmmm...... wonder if the mother of Heather Spencer will want to know if Robbie paid for Bell's stay at Narcanon, how he got there, and other similar questions.

Mr. Stracenor filed a response for Mrs. Francombe in which he claimed Ms. Bell has "resisted all attempts by the Plaintiffs to depose her prior to the July 24, 2009 settlement" and that "Ms. Bell repeatedly refused to provide deposition dates". A hearing was held on January 25, 2010 on the matter before Hinds County Circuit Judge Winston Kidd.

This latest action by Robbie Bell and her lawyer is just more proof of what her true character is. Its pretty clear Ms. Bell has always been concerned with protecting her precious little image. We are talking about a mother who wouldn't appear in court when her son was convicted because she couldn't stand to have her reputation tarnished by media coverage. She even put up Christmas lights on her house a few short months after Heather's murder. Her response to her son kidnapping Heather's best friend was "I thought you were going to get Gatorade." This is a lady who threw a party the night after he got home from spending a few months in a rehab center ,a rehab he went to because he beat his girlfriend to a pulp and tried to kill her. Someone who didn't call the police when her son left the house for over an hour and then told James Bell she was leaving with the murdering bastard because she was scared James Bell might call the police. Ms. Bell has always been about damning everyone else and protecting herself first. Unfortunately, people have literally died and suffered in order for Robbie Bell to sleep at night. This motion is simply more of the same from Bell.

Just keep repeating to yourself Robbie 'it never happened, it never happened, it never happened'.

Complete bullshit Burwell. Melton couldn't prove undue publicity. Stop wasting the court's time.

Robbie Bell must have a whole lot of stuff, in the way of her actions, that is culpable and horrific to require such an stonewall of defense. If she were truly a victim herself, she should have rushed to tell the true victims families every detail that she can provide.

because, in fact, since she is the mother of a monster, she owes his victims whatever explanations they want.

Robbie is embarrassed that she popped all those sleeping pills and allowed her son to tie her up.

10:58 Robbie Bell can't come clean because it will expose Jim Hood as a fraud.

As a former friend, I just cannot understand how Robbie's remaining friends can't see that she is without any moral compass whatsoever or find any pity for her given her subsequent actions.
I guess " deliberate ignorance" is pandemic these days.

Kingfish said...

One friend of her told me the terms her friends used was "robbiefy" as in she would "robbiefy" something in order to rationalize it.

Anonymous said...

10:58 I completely agree with you comment. Why would Robbie go though all that trouble to avoid testimony? Sure sounds like she has something to hide...

Anonymous said...

Yeah, like throwing her clothes in the washing machine after moving Heather's body to the bedroom!

Anonymous said...

Perhaps she is trying to avoid testimony because there is a strong possibility that new criminal charges could be filed against her (or would look extremely bad for the courts/law enforcement if they weren't filed, based on her deposition).

Specifically, the time period between the first beating and the George's entrance into rehab in OK. He faced and was on the run with an active warrant for a felonious charge. Who helped him get there? Obviously they knew about the looming felony assault charge. How did he get to OK? Who paid for the treatment, kept his cell phone active, etc? Who contacted Heather first re: dropping the charges?

I am sickened by the actions of this woman. I have known Heather's family for years and they are the finest Christian family. Robbie Bell is just as guilty as her son because she stayed in that house all night and even when he left that morning for an hour with Heather's body. She is a sick woman and needs to be locked up with him!!!!!!! I am sick and tired of money talking and officials covering up for those with money.

Anonymous said...

wait a minute, wait a minute....what does all this mean now?
I can understand pretending something didnt happen, but how did she get it expunged?

I don't think I understand.....how is this possible?

KF/Attorney's:

Is it common in a civil case to request to seal a deposition?

This is really strange behavior by Robbie and her counsel. Why?

BS call....best in America.

The old families in Jackson need to go! They keep getting away with murder!

Anonymous said...

The OBN needs to go. They are the very profiteers that continue to drive this city into the gutter.

Anonymous said...

Skanky, trashy behavior. Mrs. High And Mighty and her demon spawn need to be under the jail.

Robbie and Karen ought to share Ol' Sparky.

Close to the Case said...

Kingfish,

What is your gut instinct regarding all this? Will Robbie ever be made to take the stand? At this point it's not about punishment as much as it is about information. The family is entitled to closure...and Robbie's refusal to tell her story prohibits such closure. However, every guilty person is his own hangman...and we've learned to be patient if nothing else.

Kingfish said...

I think Kidd will rule against her.

Anonymous said...

Why the hell would someone that's paying a legal team defend her, demand a "fee" for her testimony in court records. Talk about sinking to new low, how long did Heather's body lay there on the floor of the home Robbie's? She currently still lives there... Her answer to the complaint specifically says she came home the evening of 09/10. What the hell is she trying to cover up? Judge, can anyone offer some clarity?

Disgusting and pathetic, and Robbie truly has the audacity to request to get paid for her deposition to defend HERSELF?

Anonymous said...

"Robbie and Karen ought to share Ol' Sparky."

Maybe he can sit on her lap - a perverse variation of 'Madonna & Child' as they throw the switch.

Catfish said...

The best part about the demand for the "deposition fee" is incredibly small. According to the notes to Miss. R. Civ. P. 45(c), the fee is set forth in Miss. Code Ann. § 25-7-47, which reads: Witnesses in the county, circuit, and chancery courts shall receive , and such tolls and ferriageone dollar and fifty cents per day and five cents for each mile going to and returning from the courthouse to their homes by the nearest routes . . ."

Robbie is bitching about not being paid about $5. Seriously, you cold heartless bitch? I think Kidd makes them pay the minimal fee and tells her to sit for the deposition.

Anonymous said...

Can she take the 5th in a deposition?

Anonymous said...

Robbie is ducking the depo because she fears she'll be asked to reveal what she knows about the secret society of white Jacksonians conspiring to flank the levee board in order to build Two Lakes.

Anonymous said...

9:06 that's funny! :-)
You aren't a member obviously or you'd know there's no " conspiracy", just condoning whatever the other members might do since they are so fun at parties:-)
It's just a few members have gotten a bit out of control and are making " what happens in Northeast Jackson, stays in Northeast Jackson" more difficult! :-)
Not to worry, we'll ride this out and get them back into the fold. A year or two of pious church going after the smoke ought to still work in convincing everyone that " they've seen the Light".

robbie bell is a worthless piece of garbabge.

Anonymous said...

i have known the bell family for a long time and i am not saying what she did was right, but she is not an evil person. we have no right to judge anyone becasue we would never want anyone to judge us in a time of our own distress

Anonymous said...

9:56 are you serious? Not an evil person? Heather bled to death after being beaten and raped in Robbie's home and she chose to nothing, expect until the next morning when her son showed up with a kidnap victim, she finally took action, called the uncle/attorney/judge. A bloody body in her house the entire night and she chose to do nothing... I wonder what temp in the house that next morning? Robbie even changed her clothes prior to the stand off! And did not even bother to attend her son's sentencing hearing after all that went down. Currently, she's ducking depositions and expecting a fee to defend herself?

How sick are you, 9:56? Another pathetic enabler?

Did you read the police reports? News reports? WLBT's Bottom Line? Did you attend George's Welcome Home Party? If so, did you know about the active warrant for the first beating? How family members and friends of the victims do you know?

Anonymous said...

i am not sick or an enabler i have read everything and know alot too. i am just saying that it is george who did all this not robbie once again i am NOT defending what she did, it was VERY wrong but she too is a human being who probably has suffered in her own way. she is at fault for some things, i was just saying that she is not EVIL

Anonymous said...

4:11, I completely understand what you are saying. Thanks for the clarification. Believe me, I've seen way too many families suffer from the horrible consequences of drug addiction from another family member... No matter how well some kids are raised, they just cannot seem to conquer addiction - it is so sad to see how man suffer as a result.

Anonymous said...

What is really horrible is the victim mentality that goes along with enablers of drug addicted children. The person almost becomes cyclical in their own denial; I mean psychologically unstable. If anything, Mrs. Bell should stand trial and at a minimum evaluated mentally for a time until she is stable. I would probably buy diminished capacity.

Anonymous said...

9:56? If Heather was your daughter, I bet you would be saying something completely different about Robbie Bell. Robbie Bell should be in jail with her sorry son.

Anonymous said...

There seems to be some misplaced compassion here.

Yes, having drug addicted or troubled family members is difficult problem with terrible effects on all those close to the troubled person.

But, most who face this challenge seek help and it cannot be argued that Robbie lacked the resources , financially or intellectually to get the help needed.

There is NO reason to believe that Robbie would not have had " enabling" clearly defined for her if she sought help.

Instead, Robbie, in defiance of any professional advice chose to continue rescuing her son from consequences of his actions without regard to how his actions had damaged others.

Guess it depends on how you define " evil" and the use of that word is problematic, but I think it'd be hard to argue that her actions and inactions played a significant role in the murder of Heather and kidnapping of Elizabeth.

The facts from start to now are not those of someone with any regard for the safety of others. Whether you call that psychotic or evil is just a matter of semantics.

Anonymous said...

That should read " didn't play a significant role"...Robbie played a significant role by action and inaction in the death and kidnapping.

Anonymous said...

Per the police reports/interviews:

Robbie then turned and looked at George and said: "You promised me that you were just going out to get Gatorade."
"You promised me!"

Per Robbie's answer in her civil case - at least 8 - 12 hours had already passed while Heather's dead body was in Robbie's house. At this point Robbie calls the uncle/attorney/judge. Then drove the get away car to BP because her son was scared Judge Bell would contact the police. She even refused to remove the car keys, as the officer requested... Then jumped into the police car with him after the stand off... Now, she refuses to be deposed... Reality Bites!

9:56, would you have acted in the same manner? OR would you have tried to get medical assistance the previous night (or perhaps while George went to kidnap Heather's roommate). Robbie could have saved Heather's life and preventing a kidnapping. Her actions clearly speak volumes.

Anonymous said...

2:35, Of course I would hope that I would do the right thing but then again I was not in the situation and I do not have children, so I have NO idea what I would do

ONCE again I am not saying that she didn't do anything wrong, I was just saying that she is a loving kind person (not evil)that I have known my whole life and unfortunately for george, herself, and heather she made a HUGE mistake that I am sure she wishes never happened and that she could go back and do it differently

I feel terrible for all of heathers friends and family it is a horrible loss

Anonymous said...

Will Judge Bell get deposed in this matter? He was clearly at the Trawick murder/kidnap scene BEFORE authorities were contacted. In addition, literally rescued Heather's roommate and removed her from Robbie's house. He stated in his witness statement Robbie was not going to leave her son. One would think his testimony would speak volumes.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. This is definitely a Beaver production.
